Change of Plans

(Kim) After talking to Carol about our time frame and the plan for the day regarding photos and timing etc. we have decided to make a few adjustments to our plans. After plenty of discussion, Glenn and I have decided not to get married at our church in Subiaco, but will be holding the ceremony at Araluen Botanic Park, where we had already booked for our photo location.

The time that it would take to drive from Morley to Subi, Subi to Roleystone then Roleystone to Caversham really made our schedule tight. It basically meant that we would have 5 minutes to be late across the whole day to anything! I checked with the park and they have confirmed our booking but now we need to decide on a specific location within the park to hold the ceremony. We took a drive out to Araluen today and have decided on either Bennett's Lawn or the Roundhouse Lawn.

The Roundhouse Lawn

Bennett's Lawn
Because both spots are equally as beautiful, Glenn and I are having trouble making a decision and would love your thoughts on the two. Questions you might have about the spot might help us to consider things we may not have thought about yet as well. Please let us know what you think!

Capturing the Moments

(Kim) We finally booked our photographer! It took lots of deliberation and we must have used up all of our bandwidth looking at all of the galleries to make a decision but we did it. We began by trauling through all of the flyers I collected at Bridal Expo's during the year and threw out anything that didn't include negatives and were short time frames. That helped us to eliminate heaps of people. Eventually we finally narrowed it down to three people and in the end, Carol Darby was the stand out for us!

Carol has loads of sample photos on her website and also on her blog which made the decision even easier. We made an appointment to meet up with Carol a couple of weeks ago and, although I liked her from the moment we spoke on the phone, Glenn and I had an awesome feeling when we met her in person.

Carol showed us through some of her portfolios and I noticed that she had included a couple of photos of a bride with her Beagle... photographer, BOOKED!

I Cant Keep A Secret!

(Kim) Well everyone, I can no longer keep it a secret! I have had sooooo many people ask "What does your dress look like?" that I am just dying to tell, so... this is it!

I told you that it wasn't white, and it isn't. THE dress is very similar to the dress pictured above on the left, only it is in apricot... it's such a nice colour against my skin! I look sooo brown in that colour! So now that the cat is out of the bag, you can stop being nosey now! I can't wait to hear what you all think!!
